ROLE OVERVIEW

The Associate Manager, Accounting will oversee the North America Accounts Payable Special Processing team. This role is pivotal in managing daily operations related to Concur Expense, Credit Card Management, Payments, and Vendor Master Data Administration, ensuring adherence to both local and global policies and internal controls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the NA AP Special Processing team, ensuring the establishment and achievement of specific, measurable goals.
  • Supervise a team of 4-6 professionals, including both exempt and non-exempt staff, while overseeing performance management and career development initiatives.
  • Manage daily operations to ensure timely handling of Credit Card Help Desk inquiries, Expense/Card audits, Payments, and Vendor Master Data requests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues effectively.
  • Ensure compliance in the preparation of reconciliations and reports according to established policies and controls.
  • Coordinate month-end, year-end, and fiscal year-end activities and communications for Accounts Payable.
  • Support the testing and implementation of modifications to Accounts Payable systems or the integration of new activities.
  • Provide backup support as needed to the Expense Global Process Owner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, preferably in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with a strong preference for management experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Concur or similar global travel and expense systems.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated proficiency in SAP, particularly in vendor master and payment processes.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in process improvement with a lean mindset.

WORK REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time position.
  • Remote work options available for eligible employees.
