ROLE OVERVIEW
The Associate Manager of Accounting will oversee the North America Accounts Payable (AP) Special Processing team. This role is pivotal in managing daily operations related to Concur Expense, Credit Card Management, Payments, and Vendor Master Data Administration, ensuring adherence to both local and global policies, procedures, and internal controls. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is essential for troubleshooting and resolving issues, while also driving operational enhancements to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the NA AP Special Processing team, establishing specific and measurable objectives.
- Supervise a team of 4-6 members, encompassing both exempt and non-exempt roles, and manage the performance management and career development processes.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure prompt processing of Credit Card Help Desk inquiries, Expense/Card audits, Payments, and Vendor Master Data requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
- Ensure the preparation of reconciliations and reports in accordance with established policies and controls.
- Coordinate AP month-end, calendar year-end, and fiscal year-end activities and communications.
- Support the testing and implementation of modifications to AP systems or the integration of new processes.
- Provide backup support as necessary to the Expense Global Process Owner (GPO).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, preferably in Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for management experience.
- 1-3 years of experience with Concur or similar global travel and expense systems.
- 1-3 years of demonstrated proficiency in SAP, particularly in vendor master and payment processes.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

- Proactive approach to problem-solving with excellent customer service skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

- Strategic thinking skills, balancing high-level insights with detailed execution.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in process improvements with a lean mindset.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Full-time position.
- Remote work options available once a week for eligible employees.
- This role does not qualify for relocation assistance.
