Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Sales Representative to join our team at All Roads. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Vermeer construction products and solutions to customers in the forestry and recycling industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Develop, plan, and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results and goals.
  • Manage Sales Opportunities: Track and manage sales opportunities across the assigned area, from initial inquiry through to order close.
  • Identify Customer Needs: Identify customer needs and react appropriately, understanding market conditions and local competitors' pricing.
  • Network and Build Relationships: Develop a networking list of potential clients and consistently contact them through in-person calls, phone, and email.
  • Territory Management: Ensure proper coverage of all customers and industries within the assigned geographic area and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Key Account Management: Be responsible for all customers in the territory, adept in dealing with company owners, managers, and field personnel.
  • Product Demonstrations: Develop, schedule, and conduct equipment demonstrations with customers.
  • CRM Management: Input and maintain customer accounts, opportunities, and activities in Salesforce CRM software.
  • Remote Work: Ability to effectively work independently and remotely.

Requirements:

  • Previous Sales Experience: Previous experience in construction or industrial sales, with a track record of success.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of market conditions, competitors, and customer needs.
