Construction Supervisor

Hourly Rate: $24-$32 per hour

Position Overview:

The Construction Supervisor is tasked with overseeing field operations related to the installation of architectural elements, including but not limited to, metal panel systems and glazing solutions. Responsibilities encompass the management of sub-framing installations, such as girts and light gauge framing, ensuring that all work aligns with project specifications and contractual obligations. The Supervisor will coordinate closely with the Project Manager regarding material procurement, delivery schedules, equipment usage, and workforce allocation. Effective planning is essential to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to budgetary constraints and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and execute fabrication drawings accurately.
  • Utilize basic mathematical skills for project measurements.
  • Operate power and hand tools proficiently.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ensure project compliance with all contractual documents and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and document existing conditions as necessary.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, engineers, and construction team members.
  • Identify and report any changes in work scope to the Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and adjust project schedules.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress.
  • Monitor material and resource deliveries to prevent project delays.
  • Manage critical path tasks and address any potential delays proactively.
  • Ensure day-to-day quality control of all work performed.
  • Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety protocols on-site.
  • Document incidents and near-misses, reporting them to the Safety Manager.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in team leadership.
  • OSHA 30 Certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and positive attitude.

Work Environment:

The Construction Supervisor will frequently encounter various environmental conditions typical of construction sites and must remain vigilant at all times.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, and lifting materials weighing up to 50 pounds. The Supervisor must be comfortable working at heights and using ladders and scaffolding.

Position Type: Full-time, with variable hours as needed.
