ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspire TK/K-6th grade students through social-emotional learning and enrichment activities, including STEAM, music, and creative play.
  • Facilitate lessons designed to spark enthusiasm for learning.
  • Assist students with homework and provide snacks.
  • Manage student behavior effectively (up to 20 students) with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure student safety during outdoor activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff and engage in professional development opportunities.
  • Act as a positive role model to enhance students' self-esteem and emotional well-being.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Experience working successfully with elementary and/or middle school students.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans while maintaining organization and accuracy in activities.
  • Skilled in supporting students' behavioral management needs.
  • Capable of connecting with students and fostering positive learning experiences.
  • Able to adapt, improvise, and take initiative based on student needs.
  • Approachable, empathetic, patient, and skilled at building trust with children.
  • Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
  • Comfortable using online platforms for training and resources.
  • Work collaboratively with school administrators, parents, and fellow coaches.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Eligibility to work in the United States, completion of a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 48 college credits or passing an IA exam.
  • 1-2 years of experience in education, coaching, child development, or related fields preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Willingness to adhere to health protocols as outlined by the school.

  • Occasional running and other physical activities.
  • Ability to navigate safely on uneven terrain regularly.
