Position Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Student Success Program Coordinator operates under the guidance of the Division Dean of Student Services at San Jose City College. This role entails a full-time commitment, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

In collaboration with an assigned administrator, this position is responsible for orchestrating various activities within a specialized program, which includes outreach, resource development, and support for student participants.

Functional oversight may be provided by a Counselor or Instructor associated with the program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate the organization and execution of program initiatives.
  • Engage in community outreach efforts, including public speaking and expanding local partnerships.
  • Create and distribute informational materials.
  • Organize orientations and special events.
  • Participate in program-related activities both on and off campus.
  • Manage front office operations and compile reports.
  • Gather and analyze statistical data related to program functions.
  • Oversee program finances and conduct bookkeeping tasks.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support.
  • Familiarize oneself with and adhere to program policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Foreign Degree:

Degrees must be obtained from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Council on Post-Secondary Accreditation. All degrees earned outside the U.S. require a U.S. evaluation of the transcripts.
