About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at AEG. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Kitchen Operations: Oversee the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Lead and Develop Team Members: Provide guidance, training, and coaching to kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Coordinate the ordering and inventory of food, ingredients, and supplies to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet our culinary needs.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Kitchen Environment: Ensure that the kitchen is clean, organized, and safe for staff and guests, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef: Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop menus, plan events, and ensure that all culinary operations are aligned with our company's goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3+ Years of Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an upscale banquet, hotel, or convention center setting.
  • Supervisory Experience: Proven supervisory experience, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Food Safety Certification: A valid food safety certification is required.
  • Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve exceptional results.
