**Job Summary**

Grown Folks Social Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Create and implement new menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our discerning guests.
  • Food Preparation: Oversee the preparation and presentation of all menu items, ensuring that dishes are consistently prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, supply ordering, and staff supervision.
  • Staff Management: Lead and motivate a team of cooks, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the demands of the restaurant.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all menu items meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we are always stocked and ready to meet the demands of the restaurant.
  • Cost Control: Work with the restaurant manager to develop and implement cost control measures to ensure that we are operating within our budget.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe environment, and that all staff are aware of and adhere to health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an executive chef or head culinary director in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Proven track record of menu development, kitchen operations, and staff management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of cooks and other kitchen staff.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a deep understanding of flavor profiles, ingredient combinations, and presentation techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
