Job Summary:

As a key member of our culinary team, the Sous Chef Coordinator will assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality foods, while ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards, ensuring all deadlines are met based on production orders.
  • Supervise hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action as needed.
  • Store food in designated areas, following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, as well as cleanliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner, relaying relevant information to supervisors.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers.
  • Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracking product production, consumption, and waste, and informing supervisors when supplies or product are low.

Requirements:

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain a clean and safe kitchen, and provide exceptional customer service. Must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
