About the Role

Feeding America is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Community Engagement. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading national organization dedicated to ending hunger in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement community engagement strategies to build relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, advocacy groups, and government agencies.
  • Manage and evaluate advocacy programs, including organizing trainings, creating resource materials, and providing technical assistance to network members and partners.
  • Plan and coordinate in-person and virtual convenings to bring together network members, neighbors, and other stakeholders to foster connection, community, and power building.
  • Engage directly with neighbor-advocates, network members, and national and local stakeholders to foster connection, community, and power building.
  • Develop and maintain a database of neighbor advocates, partners, and stakeholders who have engaged in Feeding America advocacy, organizing, and engagement initiatives.
  • Track and evaluate neighbor advocacy, organizing, and community engagement efforts across the network, using data to improve technical assistance and resource creation.
  • Gather and share best practices in neighbor advocacy, organizing, and community engagement across the network.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure policy positions and initiatives are integrated into cross-programmatic strategies and projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in issue community organizing, advocacy, grassroots mobilization, issue campaigns, or community engagement.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and strong organizational skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

  • Experience working with diverse communities and populations.
  • Knowledge of community engagement and advocacy strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
