Key Responsibilities

As an Account Manager at Nexeo Plastics, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Building and supporting Consumer (Commodities) & Packaging customers
  • Territory planning, understanding territory environment, current accounts, prospects, competitors, and suppliers
  • Account planning and customer knowledge, understanding customer objectives, needs, and profitability drivers
  • Ownership and performance focus, taking responsibility for and ownership of territory
  • Coordination and leadership, developing relationships within Nexeo and within the customer organization
  • Market knowledge, keeping up-to-date and informed on the market, industry, and regulatory issues
  • Technical knowledge, identifying technical needs of customers and communicating effectively to drive growth
  • Value proposition, understanding and selling the entire value offering from Nexeo
  • Negotiations and solution agreement, creating win-win solutions for customers
  • Implementation management, reacting to additional customer demands and needs
  • Sales administration, utilizing MS Office and CRM to manage sales activities
  • Pipeline and quotation management, proactively managing the sales pipeline and customer quotations

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or a similar field
  • 3-5 years of plastics distribution sales or related industry experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word Suite, SAP, CRM/ERP systems, and Salesforce
  • Experience selling into the consumer & packaging market
