Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team at Alliant Power. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Closing Sales: Utilize various sales methods, including door-to-door sales, cold calling, and presentations, to close deals and meet sales targets.
  • Forecasting and Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to forecast sales and drive business growth.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Evaluate customers' skills and needs, and build long-lasting relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing team to share best practices, provide feedback, and drive business results.
  • Account Management: Maintain and expand a customer database within your assigned territory, and utilize our CRM system to store and retrieve customer data.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the latest industry developments and trends, and attend sales events and trainings to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Team Support: Assist other employees in and out of the department, and provide feedback on system changes and needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of sales experience in the automotive industry.
  • Skills: Sales expertise, product knowledge, and the ability to positively manage customer and vendor relationships.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft software, including Excel, Outlook, and CRM modules.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service focus, and strong problem-solving skills.
