Position Overview

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager dedicated to the US Public Sector, specifically focusing on Federal and Department of Defense (DOD) initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with our sales teams, partner networks, and marketing divisions to create and implement impactful programs aimed at generating a robust sales pipeline that translates into successful bookings.

The Senior Manager for Federal and DOD will join a dynamic team aligned with sales objectives, leveraging data analytics and historical insights to shape quarterly strategies and action plans.

This pivotal role will report directly to the Director of US Public Sector Marketing and will oversee a diverse array of marketing initiatives for Federal and DOD sectors. Responsibilities may encompass Field Marketing, Events, thought leadership, digital content, social media engagement, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Demonstrated expertise in collaborating with teams to formulate and implement annual and quarterly marketing plans, including budget oversight and forecasting.
  • Performance Analysis & Management: Proven ability to utilize enterprise-level analytics to assess and enhance program effectiveness, including investment justification based on historical performance.
  • Sales Collaboration: Experience in partnering with sales leadership, including Business Development Representatives, to empower sales teams with account engagement strategies that drive opportunity identification and pipeline growth.
  • Market Engagement: Responsible for coordinating with business development, partner ecosystems, and strategic capture teams to enhance market visibility and customer interaction.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in a Federal and DOD marketing role within a $1B+ B2B technology organization, particularly in cybersecurity or networking.
  • Direct involvement in Federal and DOD marketing, including field initiatives, cybersecurity events, media strategies, campaign management, and event execution.
  • Familiarity with key public-sector resellers, distributors, and systems integrators.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving measurable contributions such as qualified leads, pipeline development, and closed business.
  • Hands-on experience with essential sales and marketing systems, including budget management.
  • Ability to effectively navigate organizational boundaries and cultivate relationships to achieve objectives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of enterprise lead management processes and marketing attribution methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing field-focused marketing programs across digital platforms, first and third-party events, and partner ecosystems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, or related fields; MBA is a plus.
