Position Overview

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Manager for US Field Marketing focused on the Federal and DOD sectors. This role involves collaborating with sales leadership, the partner ecosystem, and various marketing teams to create and implement impactful pipeline generation initiatives that drive successful bookings.

The individual in this pivotal role will join a dynamic team dedicated to sales alignment, leveraging data and historical insights to shape quarterly strategies and plans.

This key position will report directly to the Director of US Public Sector Marketing and will oversee a diverse range of marketing programs tailored for Federal and DOD audiences. Responsibilities may encompass Field Marketing & Events, thought leadership initiatives, digital content, social media engagement, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Demonstrated expertise in collaborating with teams to develop and implement comprehensive quarterly and annual marketing plans, including budget oversight and results forecasting.
  • Performance Analysis & Management: Proven ability to utilize enterprise analytics for monitoring and enhancing program effectiveness, including investment justification based on historical performance.
  • Sales Collaboration: Experience in partnering with sales leaders, including BDR teams, to equip them with account engagement strategies that foster opportunity identification and pipeline development.
  • Market Development: Responsible for liaising with business development, partner networks, and strategic capture teams to enhance market visibility and customer interaction.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in a Federal & DOD marketing capacity within a $1B+ B2B technology firm, particularly in cybersecurity or networking.
  • Direct involvement with DOD and Federal initiatives, including field marketing programs, cybersecurity events, media strategies, campaign management, and event marketing.
  • Familiarity with key public-sector resellers, distributors, and systems integrators.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving measurable outcomes such as qualified leads, pipeline growth, and closed business.
  • Hands-on experience with major sales and marketing systems, including budget management tools.
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and foster relationships to achieve goals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of enterprise lead management processes and marketing attribution methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and executing field-focused marketing initiatives across digital platforms, first and third-party events, and partner ecosystems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, or related fields; MBA is a plus.
