About the Role:
Anchor QEA is on the lookout for a dedicated hydrology and hydraulic engineer to enhance our portfolio of water resource engineering projects in the Pacific Northwest. We seek an individual with a robust technical foundation in hydrology and hydraulics, who is eager to grow and evolve within a dynamic company, and is prepared to engage in a diverse array of water resource initiatives. The ideal candidate will be equipped to conduct technical tasks, including detailed studies and engineering design work. This role involves collaboration with fellow technical professionals to support various water resource, civil engineering design, and habitat restoration projects throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will undertake the following duties:
- Conduct technical evaluations and assist in the creation of civil engineering design documents for water resource management, supply, conveyance, storage, stormwater, and habitat restoration projects.
- Execute calculations and complete hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support water resource initiatives.
- Draft comprehensive reports and technical studies.
- Aid in the development of civil engineering drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess the following attributes:
- A Master's Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering (or equivalent).
- 0-4 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, water resource planning and management, and the design and construction of water resource projects.
- A readiness to engage in a variety of tasks, from hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to the creation of drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for diverse water resource, civil engineering design, and habitat restoration projects.
- Proficiency with a range of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, WaterCAD, and similar tools.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and effective communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- An Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate with a plan to obtain a Washington PE license within the next 4-5 years.

- Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually

Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:
