We are currently seeking motivated Assistant Engineers to join our expanding fleet of vessels. This role offers a permanent position with balanced work rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Engineer in ensuring the safe operation of all machinery, electrical systems, and technical areas aboard the vessel.
  • Contribute to the engineering department's compliance with safety regulations and flag state requirements.
  • Execute all assigned tasks with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.
  • Support the Chief Engineer in maintaining the efficiency of main engines and related machinery, including electrical, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.
  • Keep the Chief Engineer updated on the condition of all equipment and progress on tasks, including any non-conformities related to the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Maintain comprehensive engine room logs detailing all equipment failures, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid US passport.
  • Experience with diesel-electric systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, and hydraulic systems.
  • Possession of a USCG Assistant Engineering License.
  • STCW Certification.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven individual with a proactive approach.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to strong work ethics, values, and principles, prioritizing safety above all.
