We are currently in search of a Junior Civil/Environmental Engineer to assist with the design of water and wastewater pump stations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering tasks related to water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure

• Engage in engineering planning and design projects

• Prepare detailed reports

• Develop comprehensive plans and specifications

• Estimate costs for various water and wastewater initiatives

• Perform system modeling

• Conduct permitting and alternative analysis

• Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables

• Execute data entry and analysis

• Provide engineering support during construction phases

• Participate in field activities, including pilot testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

• Academic background should include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design

• 0 to 5 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering

• Engineer-in-Training Certification

• Application of engineering principles, including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-driven

• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

• Professional Engineer license

• Familiarity with software applications such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM)
