Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team at Almo Corporation. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing improvements to increase productivity, maximize efficiency, and manage human capital more effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of project management, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring, reporting, and measuring progress.
  • Support operations by performing various tasks and analyses, including designing layouts, developing improvement projects, and studying material flow and operations sequence.
  • Design and develop management control systems, production and distribution layouts, and standard operating procedures to improve quality and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain operational data related to projects and use data to assist in financial planning and cost analysis.
Senior Industrial Engineer Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and analyze comprehensive operational metrics related to DC and transportation function, driving methodology, automation, and other solutions.
  • Assist in setting milestones and monitoring projects against those milestone points.
  • Support complex project modeling and what-if projects with data, analysis, and/or CAD.
  • Monitor and lead all projects related to the area, including Industrial Engineers, summer interns, and other team members.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with industrial engineering and project management concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Industrial Engineer: 2-5 years of experience; Senior: 7-10 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or related fields.
Education and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from a four-year college or university required. PMP Certification preferred.
  • Highly capable and experienced in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and CAD in routine work. Experience with AS400 a plus.
Language and Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend semi-complex instructions and correspondence. Ability to write semi-complex correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning and Physical Demands
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or conceptual form. Ability to deal with many tasks and issues simultaneously.
