Position Summary: The primary objective of this role is to oversee the Halex OEM business nationwide. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this position entails the comprehensive management of all Halex products within the OEM sector, including key distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all customer relationships within the designated channels.
  • Implement effective strategies to meet annual sales targets for assigned accounts.
  • Travel approximately 25-40% of the time to engage with customers and facilities.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy aimed at expanding the OEM business with both new and existing clients.
  • Foster relationships with customers across various departments including Buying, Replenishment, Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Maintain clear communication with all Halex departments, clients, and representatives.
  • Design sales promotions and pricing strategies informed by market analysis.
  • Keep accurate and current records of all transactions and interactions.
  • Work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team when necessary.
  • Provide national insights regarding market trends, pricing, competition, and programs.
  • Relay field feedback concerning customer needs, competitor activities, and product forecasts to ensure Halex remains competitive and delivers optimal value.
  • Comply with all Halex and Marmon policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Engineering, Sciences, or Business).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in selling technical products.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the Electrical Field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of OEM experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electrical fittings, connectors, and components is preferred.
  • Ability to think independently, proactively, and intuitively.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and listening.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on long-term outcomes.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Windows, MS Office, CRM, and ERP systems).
  • Capable of professional communication with all company personnel.
