The anticipated pay range for candidates in California is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, with final compensation dependent on various factors including experience and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather referral information from inquiries, ensuring all clinical and financial details are complete for admission committee approval.
  • Verify financial information thoroughly before patient admission to minimize accounts receivable.
  • Encourage family tours of the center for 80% of viable referrals, conducting professional tours with clinical staff to secure family commitment.
  • Facilitate the admission process, explaining policies to patients and families, ensuring a seamless transition and completion of all necessary paperwork.
  • Lead daily admissions meetings to update on referrals and admissions, striving to exceed a 65% conversion rate through prompt follow-ups.
  • Communicate any referral source issues to the Marketing Director during the referral process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral sources.
  • Support the overall objectives of the organization and the center.
  • Address billing concerns with the accounting office and marketing team.
  • Accurately document all necessary information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain daily updates in the Marketing Information System, ensuring data integrity for reporting purposes.
  • Participate in all required in-services and meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Two to three years of experience as an Admissions Coordinator or Director in a skilled nursing facility, subacute care, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.
  • Professional communication skills, particularly in handling referral calls effectively.
  • Sales experience, either inside or outside, is preferred.
  • Ability to engage with family members and conduct tours with a focus on securing admissions.
  • Proficient in using marketing information systems.
  • Familiarity with Medicare and Medi-Cal guidelines is preferred.
