- Ensuring accurate patient identification
- Gathering comprehensive demographic information
- Confirming insurance details and coverage
- Assessing patient financial obligations
- Providing financial guidance to patients as necessary
Moreover, the Specialist acts as a knowledgeable point of contact for patients, clarifying hospital regulations, financial commitments, and patient entitlements.
Required Qualifications- A minimum of 1 year of experience in patient registration or similar roles
- Familiarity with insurance procedures
- Understanding of medical vocabulary
- Basic arithmetic skills for payment assessments
- Experience handling financial transactions
- Proficient computer skills
- Preferred knowledge of charity care initiatives and public assistance programs
