Job Summary

The Admitting Patient Representative II plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient admission process for patients at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and timely complete patient admissions, including demographic data, insurance verification, and authorization
  • Create patient financial files, obtain required signatures, and provide hospital information to patients and families
  • Interface with patients, third-party payors, and review organizations to ensure eligibility and authorization for hospital services
  • Identify alternative financial sources for services, if necessary
  • Facilitate the processing of Medi-Cal/CCS applications
  • Meet with parents to explain benefits, restrictions, or to make financial arrangements
Requirements
  • 2 years of previous registration experience preferred
  • 6 months of insurance verification experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred
  • Accuracy in data collection highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
Education and Certification
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Children's Hospital Los Angeles offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $37,232.00-$61,953.00, as well as a robust benefits program to meet the needs of our team members.
