Position Summary: This role is a prominent, in-office, exempt position for a proactive, results-oriented, and ethical Office Manager with a robust background in Human Resources (HR). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities and experience, with a focus on enhancing the efficiency of our organization's administrative functions and human resources. A professional demeanor, along with a high level of integrity, discretion, confidentiality, and trust, is essential. The candidate must successfully pass a criminal and financial background check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily HR and administrative operations
  • Maintain comprehensive administrative documentation and records
  • Develop, implement, and uphold organizational policies and procedures related to administration and HR
  • Lead recruitment initiatives, including hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes
  • Supervise administrative personnel
  • Administer employee healthcare benefits
  • Review and approve payroll processes
  • Coordinate company events within budget constraints and assist with logistical arrangements
  • Regularly assess current HR laws and practices to recommend improvements that minimize risk and enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Address personnel issues and conduct investigations, including performance management and succession planning
  • Track and assign staff training programs
  • Coordinate annual performance evaluations
  • Conduct periodic employee check-ins to foster a positive company culture
  • Implement team-building practices and policies, including scheduling annual events
  • Manage office supplies and equipment procurement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for office maintenance requests and errands
  • Maintain updated contact lists for vendors and service providers
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of HR and administrative procedures, recommending improvements
  • Promote a positive work environment through team recognition initiatives

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Record accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Compile bank reconciliation documentation for the bookkeeper
  • Input bills and payments into accounting software

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives and business partners
  • Proficient in accounting software
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 5+ years in an administrative role
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, with knowledge of current practices and labor laws
  • Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) is advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field is preferred

  • Ability to think clearly and rationally in various situations

  • Identify and evaluate arguments effectively

Computer Proficiency:

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Aptitude with accounting and HR systems

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of one or more employees
  • Carry out supervisory duties in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to communicate effectively
  • Frequently required to sit and use hands
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds

Work Environment:
