Position Overview: Construction Project Manager

Role Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager. This role encompasses the management of daily operations for designated construction initiatives, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from initial planning through to successful completion, in accordance with contractual obligations. Responsibilities include budget oversight, personnel management, and ensuring systematic inspection and maintenance of facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the effective execution of all project aspects as per the agreement between EMCOR and the client.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial forecasts and updates, ensuring adherence to safety standards and financial objectives.
  • Oversee the contract's overall operations, including daily activities and milestone achievements.
  • Assess and ensure the efficient functioning of the project while maintaining operational costs at a sustainable level.
  • Provide both administrative and technical guidance to team members throughout project execution.
  • Manage negotiations and bids for subcontractors and suppliers relevant to assigned projects.
  • Plan and delegate significant project tasks to supervisory staff as necessary, establishing execution priorities.
  • Coordinate the procurement of essential supplies and services, maintaining effective inventory management.
  • Establish and maintain communication with architects, engineers, and contractors involved in major projects.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping to facilitate management and productivity.
  • Develop and implement training programs for employees as needed.
  • Uphold a robust safety program across all project activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience in construction, with at least 10 years of direct involvement in HVAC and DDC systems maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Proficient in preparing written proposals, defining scopes of work, and coordinating project schedules with contractors and personnel.
  • Strong familiarity with Windows, MS Office, RS Means construction estimating software, and MAXIMO software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of major mechanical and electrical systems within facilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of organizing and leading teams, working independently or collaboratively, and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Understanding of contracting procedures and project management methodologies.
  • Adept at planning, organizing, and controlling all facets of construction projects.
  • Skilled in collaborating with clients to resolve complex issues amicably.
  • Basic understanding of office administration, plant management, budgeting, and safety regulations.
  • Possession of necessary security clearances as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs and traversing catwalks.
