Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Buyer will oversee the procurement process, managing bids and showcasing expertise in pricing strategies.
  • This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the purchasing lifecycle.
  • The Senior Buyer will collaborate with the contracting team to ensure all documentation is accurately completed.
  • They will lead the procurement operations from initiation to completion.
  • The Senior Buyer will handle procurement requests, typically receiving 6-7 inquiries daily.
  • This position involves managing complex and large-scale procurement initiatives.
  • Data analysis related to procurement will be conducted using Excel.
  • The Senior Buyer will have designated days for managing the procurement email inbox.
  • Oversight of the RFX process will be a key responsibility.
  • Assisting fellow buyers and completing additional tasks as needed will also be part of the role.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of procurement experience is required (candidates without a degree should have more than 6 years of relevant experience).
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment with diverse cultures is essential.
  • A degree is advantageous but not mandatory for candidates with substantial experience.
  • Strong administrative skills and experience are necessary.
  • Previous experience in the nonprofit sector is beneficial but not a requirement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel (with pivot tables and VLOOKUP skills) is expected.
