To support this mission, we are seeking a Senior Manager of Procurement Cost Optimization to drive innovation in Procurement Cost Engineering. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading cost engineering initiatives across diverse procurement categories, including construction, material handling equipment, and capital investments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate the procurement cost engineering strategy and develop should-cost models for various procurement categories.
  • Implement change management by introducing innovative cost engineering and design-to-cost methodologies within the procurement department and with suppliers.
  • Employ costing techniques and software tools to develop precise cost models in partnership with category managers, engineering, and construction teams.
  • Support tender processes and evaluate supplier bids, while devising negotiation strategies from a cost engineering viewpoint.
  • Ensure supplier proposals align with 'should cost' benchmarks and lead negotiations for cost savings through technical assessments.
  • Provide insights on cost impacts of specification modifications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to discover product innovations and opportunities for cost enhancements.
  • Create and refine specification templates in conjunction with category managers.
  • Establish cost engineering performance indicators and scorecards to evaluate and challenge supplier performance.
  • Supply cost-related information to facilitate management decision-making.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize data and metrics for informed decision-making and process enhancements.
  • Proven track record in program strategy leadership, comprehensive delivery, and reporting to senior management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of experience in leading process improvements.
  • Advanced degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, or related disciplines.
