We are seeking an exceptional Senior Procurement Manager to drive innovation in Procurement Cost Engineering at Amazon Services LLC.

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our business by developing and implementing cost engineering initiatives that drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Overall Procurement Cost-Engineering Roadmap: Establish should-costing for one or several procurement categories, including construction, material handling equipment, and capital expenditure.
  • Lead Change Management: Introduce new cost engineering and design-to-cost approach across the procurement function and suppliers.
  • Utilize Costing Methodologies: Prepare reliable bottom-up cost models and should-cost targets during design, specification, and development process in close collaboration with category managers, engineering, and construction.
  • Support Tender Evaluation and Negotiation: Prepare negotiation dossiers from cost engineering viewpoint in close collaboration with category managers, and ensure supplier quotations meet 'should cost' estimates.
  • Advise on Cost Impact of Changes: Collaborate with suppliers and internal customers to investigate and identify product innovations and design-to-cost initiatives with the ultimate target to achieve cost improvement.
  • Develop Cost Engineering KPIs and Scorecards: Define cost engineering KPIs and scorecards to track and challenge supplier performance, to improve supplier performance and strengthen business partnerships.
  • Communicate with Management: Provide appropriate cost information to support management decisions.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Program or Project Management Experience
  • 5+ Years of Supply Chain Experience
  • Experience Using Data and Metrics to Determine and Drive Improvements
  • Experience Owning Program Strategy, End-to-End Delivery, and Communicating Results to Senior Leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ Years of Driving Process Improvements Experience
  • Master's Degree, or MBA in Business, Operations, Human Resources, Adult Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or Related Field
