Job Overview

The role of a Procurement Analyst involves a thorough examination of supplier data, product offerings, pricing structures, and delivery schedules to evaluate and compare various factors. This analysis is crucial in identifying the most appropriate suppliers and products for the organization.

Procurement Analysts engage in communication with suppliers while continuously analyzing historical sales data and monitoring inventory levels. They remain informed about elements that could impact the supply chain, both directly and indirectly. It is essential to document and maintain precise procurement records to ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Additionally, they coordinate project timelines and provide necessary support as required by departmental leaders, while also managing supply inventories effectively.

Collaboration with Sales, Human Resources, Operations, and Finance is vital for special projects. Maintaining cost efficiency and managing purchase orders are key responsibilities. The ability to adapt swiftly to evolving procurement and project management processes is essential.

Integrity and Ethical Standards

Upholding integrity and ethical conduct in managing sensitive procurement and company-related information is paramount.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.

A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Procurement as an assistant or in a similar capacity is required, or 5 years of experience without a degree.

Being bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory.

Key Skills

Strong communication and analytical skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. Excellent organizational and time management abilities are crucial. A background in finance is a plus. The candidate should be capable of working independently with sound judgment or as part of a team. Willingness to travel overnight as necessary is expected. Exceptional negotiation skills and a keen attention to detail with a high level of accuracy are important. Familiarity with procurement software is beneficial.
