Role Summary
Maximus is seeking a dedicated Acquisition and Procurement Specialist to enhance our operations in Arlington, VA.
This role is pivotal in managing the procurement processes for our client at DISA Compartmented Enterprise Services Offices (CESO).
DISA CESO provides a comprehensive suite of web-enabled enterprise capabilities to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence community, facilitating secure communication and collaboration across various services and agencies.
The selected candidate will oversee the acquisition and procurement of contracts, services, hardware, and software licensing essential for the development and maintenance of CESO's enterprise service capabilities.
Daily interactions will occur with a diverse group of senior government officials, contractor teams, and vendors, necessitating strong communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the client and program office throughout the project lifecycle by formulating acquisition and procurement strategies and documentation.
- Act as the Acquisition Specialist for new procurement initiatives, ensuring comprehensive documentation including Acquisition Strategies, Plans, Justifications, Market Research, and Performance Work Statements.
- Develop strategies for performance-based contracting and streamline acquisition processes, providing recommendations to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- Assist the COR with oversight to ensure supplier performance aligns with contractual standards, monitoring progress on contracts and task orders.
- Formulate strategies for hardware and software procurement, including vendor management and compliance with procurement regulations.
- Lead procurement strategy meetings and manage the overall procurement process.
- Review and advise on program contract schedules using project management tools.
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as business, finance, law, or management.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in government acquisition and procurement.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Experience in contracting IT services and cybersecurity.
- Comprehensive understanding of procurement planning and contract management functions.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with DoD policy governance and FAR/DFAR regulations.
- DAWIA Level II/III Certification in contracting.
- Experience as a COR throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Standard Procurement System (SPS).
