Production Control Supervisor

The role of the Production Control Assistant Manager is to oversee integrated operations within the Production Control Department, facilitating support for both ongoing programs and the initiation of new projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESKey responsibilities include:
- Leading and guiding all team members within the Production Control Department.
- Providing upper management with updates on departmental project statuses.
- Analyzing inventory levels and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Identifying potential issues or irregularities and establishing effective countermeasures.
- Developing and implementing Standard Work Instructions and supporting the integration of the JD Edwards Computer System.
- Creating, maintaining, and auditing Standard Work Instructions relevant to Production Planning personnel to meet ISO/TS 16949 standards.
- Training team members to enhance their skills and competencies.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental policies and management systems through regular training.
- Performing all tasks in alignment with EMS procedures to minimize environmental impact.
The Production Control Assistant Manager supervises all personnel within the Production Control department, responsible for performance management and recruitment.
QUALIFICATIONSTo excel in this position, candidates should possess:
- Expertise in Planning/Scheduling methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Capability to mentor and lead team members effectively.
- Knowledge of TPS is advantageous.
- Experience in a Just-In-Time (JIT) automotive manufacturing environment is a plus.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience and training.
COMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with problem-solving capabilities.
TECHNICAL SKILLSProficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is required. Familiarity with the JDE system is beneficial.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSBasic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, are necessary.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis role requires regular communication, frequent sitting, standing, and walking, along with the ability to lift and move objects of varying weights.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment is primarily office-based, with moderate noise levels.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURSThis is a full-time position with standard working hours.
