As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will deliver technical knowledge aimed at both new and ongoing product initiatives, as well as production processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining communication with upper management regarding any technical challenges or concerns.
  • Creating and overseeing a comprehensive engineering timeline for all initiatives.
  • Leading and coordinating project teams to ensure all objectives are met according to the established schedule.

You will also:

  • Draft specifications for equipment and tooling, and manage the design, construction, installation, and commissioning of new systems.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation for capital projects and secure approvals from senior management.
  • Establish manufacturing processes that align with key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, quality, and efficiency.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing process documentation such as specifications, risk assessments, and operational instructions.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives post-production.
  • Conducting root cause analysis to resolve production issues and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Expertise in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and robotics.
  • A strong understanding of networking protocols and the ability to develop complex control systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and leadership experience.

Additionally, familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and a commitment to safety and quality standards are essential.

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required, along with relevant experience.
