Title: Pediatric Palliative Care Physician

Role Summary:
The Pediatric Palliative Care Division at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Palliative Care Physician. This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team at the Primary Children's Hospital, which includes specialized units such as Rainbow Kids Palliative Care and Supportive Oncology for Adolescents and Pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive palliative care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings at the Primary Children's Hospital.
- Engage in the development and enhancement of palliative care services for children across the Intermountain West region.
- Participate in clinical activities primarily during daytime hours.
- Contribute to academic endeavors, including education, research, and administrative tasks, while advocating for pediatric palliative care.

Mission Statement:
The Pediatric Palliative Care teams aim to assist children facing life-threatening illnesses by providing comfort, support, and hope. Our approach addresses the emotional and physical challenges faced by both the child and their family during difficult times.

Team Composition:
The interdisciplinary team consists of social workers, chaplains, child life specialists, music therapists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physicians, all working collaboratively to provide holistic care.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. The selected individual will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, with the academic rank based on experience and qualifications.
