Position Summary:
The Division of Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine is seeking a qualified Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist. This role involves sharing 24/7 in-house coverage of the 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Primary Children's Hospital (PCH) alongside a dedicated team of eight pediatric cardiac intensivists.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care for infants, children, and adults with congenital heart disease.
2. Deliver medical intensive care for patients with nonsurgical cardiovascular conditions.
3. Collaborate with a robust congenital heart surgery program, performing over 500 surgeries annually.
4. Engage in a growing mechanical circulatory support and ventricular assist device program in partnership with the Division of Pediatric Cardiology.
5. Participate in academic activities, including education, research, and administrative duties.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, with additional training or experience in pediatric cardiology, cardiac anesthesiology, or pediatric cardiac intensive care. A strong background in research, quality improvement, or other scholarly activities that enhance clinical medicine is essential.
