Position Overview

As an Internal Auditor Liaison at Victory, you will collaborate with our engineering teams, support staff, and external auditing partners to:

  • Conduct comprehensive auditing and advisory activities aimed at establishing a robust audit framework for SOC2 and the Department of Defense (DOD) Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) / FedRAMP.
  • Engage in thorough research and benchmarking, including the examination and assessment of records and financial statements.
  • Perform data and risk evaluations, pinpointing necessary controls, assessing business workflows, and reviewing management processes.
  • Oversee the creation of a suitable audit scope, the selection of external auditors, and ensure the successful execution of annual audits.
  • Continuously gather operational documentation and data samples to address process deficiencies or to document accepted risks before they escalate into findings.
  • Maintain proactive relationships with external auditors to foresee shifts in audit priorities and prepare the organization accordingly.
  • Educate internal teams about audit prerequisites, risk assessments, and controls, while assisting in the integration of best practices into our operational framework.
  • Identify and document necessary corrective actions based on audit findings.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients regarding our processes and audit documentation.
  • Stay informed about changes to CUECs from our partners and vendors.
Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Proficiency in auditing aligned with generally accepted auditing standards and risk-based internal auditing.
  • Understanding of basic information technology controls within a cloud environment.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize data, policies, and procedures for effective audit execution.
  • Skill in establishing and nurturing trust-based relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with DOD cybersecurity regulations and contracts, such as NIST.
  • Experience with FedRAMP compliance requirements.
