Job Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Healthcare Customer Service Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients and visitors. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at supporting the clinical staff and enhancing patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Manage incoming calls, providing essential information or directing inquiries to the relevant departments.
  • Execute various administrative tasks to assist the clinical team, promoting efficient operations.
  • Organize and oversee appointment scheduling through our electronic booking system.
  • Confirm insurance coverage and secure necessary authorizations when required.
  • Process payments, including co-pays and deductibles, and guide patients to financial advisors as needed.
  • Accurately input and maintain patient demographics, billing, and clinical data in the registration system.
  • Manage medical referrals and follow-up procedures, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
  • Support data entry tasks, ensuring precision and timeliness in all responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and flexibility in response to dynamic needs.
  • Keen attention to detail, particularly in managing referrals, follow-ups, and data entry.
  • Previous experience in customer service, medical office, retail, or similar roles that require multitasking and independent work is advantageous.

Work Schedule:

Full-time position with a commitment of 40 hours per week.
