Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Medical Officer to join our team at MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our medical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our medical staff, including physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Collaborate with our clinical departments to ensure seamless coordination of care and effective communication among healthcare teams.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of healthcare innovation.
Requirements
  • Board certification in a relevant medical specialty.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare organization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive results.
