Job Summary
The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is in search of a distinguished faculty member to take on the role of Chief of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the level of Associate Professor or Professor. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in clinical practice, a commitment to research, and a passion for educating residents.

Key Responsibilities
As the Chief of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, the selected individual will oversee:
1. Management of faculty, physician extenders, and administrative personnel within the division.
2. Identification of growth opportunities for clinical, research, and educational initiatives.
3. Development and monitoring of division-specific research, educational, and clinical objectives.
4. Creation of tailored development plans for faculty members, outlining their professional goals and expectations.
5. Conducting annual performance evaluations for faculty, providing constructive feedback.
6. Ensuring compliance with clinical practice standards and regulations.
7. Overseeing the quality of clinical care and enhancing patient access.

Patient Care and Service
The role involves delivering high-quality pediatric care, contributing to patient safety and satisfaction, and participating in clinical duties, including on-call responsibilities. The candidate will be expected to meet productivity benchmarks set by the department.

Teaching and Instruction
The Chief will also be responsible for providing education and training to residents and medical students, maintaining high teaching evaluation scores, and actively participating in departmental meetings and grand rounds.

Qualifications
Applicants must hold an MD/DO/MBBS degree and be board certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of experience at the Assistant Professor level for Associate Professor applicants, or five years at the Associate Professor level for Professor applicants.
