The Role

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Executive Officer will:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan in collaboration with volunteers and staff to address organizational needs.
  • Oversee financial management to ensure sustainability and growth while empowering department leaders.
  • Enhance operational performance by engaging with the board and staff to achieve key objectives.
  • Position the YMCA as a vital community partner, fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop staff to create a culture of excellence and accountability.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proven communication skills and alignment with the YMCA mission.
  • At least five years of senior management experience in a nonprofit or similar organization.
  • Strong ability to cultivate community relationships.
  • Experience in program development and evaluation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a YMCA Organizational Leader.
  • Experience in strategic planning and fundraising.
  • Demonstrated fiscal management experience with budgets exceeding $3 million.
