Position Summary

The Finance Operations Manager will oversee the management of purchasing volume recognition and reporting for Foodbuy. This role involves developing a high-performing team, building strong partnerships, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. You will engage in analyzing client contracts, promote process automation, and leverage advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the processes for recognizing, allocating, and reporting all purchasing volume for Foodbuy.
  • Manage, develop, and inspire direct reports, providing growth opportunities and constructive feedback.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business partners within the Foodbuy and Compass organization.
  • Ensure timely and accurate presentation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and the Group Accounting Manual.
  • Analyze client contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment and assess financial impact.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses, reporting, and project requests as needed.
  • Aim for Accounting Excellence through thorough reviews, timely reconciliations, and accurate journal entries.
  • Provide standard and ad hoc reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive transformational process improvements by collaborating with Management in Accounting, Finance, and Business.
  • Implement and adhere to proper accounting controls and key financial controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • CPA certification or MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Office 365 Applications, with strong Excel skills; PowerBI experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Essbase/Hyperion, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in a large organization with sales exceeding $3 billion is preferred.

  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial statement processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in process improvement and analytics.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills across all management levels.
  • Dedicated and enthusiastic approach to delivering solutions to business needs.
  • Established reputation for integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies and project management is preferred.
  • Ability to cultivate strong business partnerships with peers across various disciplines.
  • Experience in the food industry is advantageous.
