Position Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to enhance our finance team. This position presents a unique opportunity to engage in diverse financial tasks such as fee assessments, journal entry management, and balance sheet analysis. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of one year of accounting experience, proficiency in Excel, and a strong aptitude for analyzing extensive datasets. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fee assessments for Foodbuy LLC, including review of splits and quality control of volume allowances.
- Prepare and record journal entries for both routine and exceptional Foodbuy transactions.
- Analyze and document new Member contracts and amendments, collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate and timely incentive payouts.
- Work alongside Capital Assets and Finance teams to establish intangible capital assets and their amortization in accordance with Member contracts.
- Process accounts payable invoices and manage manual invoice requests.
- Perform regular and ad hoc research on Foodbuy and Member revenue data, documenting findings effectively.
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Manage the Foodbuy general inbox, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients through clear and courteous communication.
- Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of accounting experience.
- Experience with month-end closing processes, including complex accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively.
- Understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables, lookups, and formulas.
- Familiarity with SAP, Supply Chain, and Power BI is preferred.
- Experience in a large corporate environment (sales exceeding $3 billion) is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively and drive results with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
