Role Summary

We are currently in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to enhance our vibrant team. This position presents a unique opportunity to engage in diverse financial tasks, such as fee computations, journal entry processing, and balance sheet analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of accounting experience, proficient Excel capabilities, and a strong aptitude for analyzing extensive datasets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fee calculations for Foodbuy LLC, including review of splits and quality control of volume allowances.
  • Prepare and record journal entries for both routine and exceptional Foodbuy transactions.
  • Analyze and document new Member contracts and amendments, collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate and timely accounting of Member incentives.
  • Work alongside Capital Assets and Finance teams to establish intangible capital assets and their respective amortization based on Member contracts.
  • Process accounts payable invoices and manage manual invoice requests.
  • Perform regular and ad hoc analyses of Foodbuy and Member revenue data, documenting insights.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Oversee the Foodbuy general inbox, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients through thorough and courteous communication.
  • Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with month-end closing procedures, including complex accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience in manipulating and analyzing large datasets.
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and various formulas).
  • Preferred experience with SAP, Supply Chain, and Power BI.
  • Experience in a large organization (over $3 billion in sales) is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
