Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to enhance our finance team. This position presents a unique opportunity to engage in diverse financial tasks, such as fee computations, journal entry processing, and balance sheet reconciliations. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of accounting experience, advanced Excel capabilities, and a strong aptitude for analyzing extensive datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fee calculations and quality checks for Foodbuy LLC transactions.
- Prepare and record journal entries for both routine and exceptional Foodbuy activities.
- Examine and document new Member contracts and modifications, collaborating with various teams to ensure accurate and timely incentive payouts.
- Work alongside Capital Assets and Finance teams to establish intangible capital assets and their amortization in accordance with Member contracts.
- Process accounts payable invoices and manual requests efficiently.
- Perform regular and ad hoc analyses of Foodbuy and Member revenue data, documenting insights.
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Manage the Foodbuy general inbox, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients through effective communication.
- Review existing processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Contribute to special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of accounting experience.
- Familiarity with month-end closing processes, including complex accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience in manipulating and analyzing large datasets.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Proficient in Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and advanced formulas).
- Experience with SAP, Supply Chain, and Power BI is preferred.
- Experience in a large corporate environment is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively and drive results.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
