Insurance Administrative Coordinator
Essential Qualifications:
*Minimum of 2 years in an administrative role
*Proficient in Excel
*Strong multitasking abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience in insurance administration
*Possession of a 215, 220, or 440 License with the Florida Department of Financial Services is preferred (excluding Public Adjuster)
Position Overview:
The Insurance Administrative Coordinator is responsible for a variety of administrative functions related to the processing of insurance applications. This includes the completion, examination, verification, and submission of documents to agents for evaluation of insurance coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate daily incident reports to determine claim eligibility and enter claims through the designated portal.
- Assist in the claim filing process by preparing, copying, scanning, and submitting necessary forms into the appropriate systems.
- Regularly update and manage Incident Report spreadsheets, assessing severity and escalating issues as needed.
- Collaborate with Property and Regional Managers to ensure timely submission of documents required for insurance underwriting, incidents, claims, and litigation.
- Work with external agencies to gather information necessary for underwriting assessments, claim submissions, and follow up on claim payments and distributions.
- Prepare, copy, scan, archive, and email Acord and other insurance application forms once validated by the Executive Team.
- Oversee insurance policy due dates, notifications, conference calls, and other significant dates and correspondence in Outlook, providing reminders to management.
- Maintain organized physical files and upload documents to the shared drive, ensuring proper labeling in Property folders.
- Engage in various ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
- Quickly adapt to changing priorities to effectively meet tight deadlines.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive organizational information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
