Position Title: Residential Support Services Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Residential Support Services Manager will lead the team of Residential Support Specialists in managing both clinical and non-clinical services provided to individuals in the residential program at The Arc of Southwest Georgia. This role is crucial in ensuring that individuals and their families receive high-quality services and fostering effective collaboration with partner organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the comprehensive case management for individuals, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Guarantee that individuals receive appropriate care and support from their assigned specialists.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with support coordinators, team leaders, and supervisory staff.
  • Oversee the maintenance of individual records, ensuring that documentation and progress tracking align with health and service plans.
  • Monitor the health status of individuals, coordinating with specialists and nursing staff to address medical needs promptly.
  • Guide specialists in developing personalized plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and crisis intervention.
  • Ensure medication management is monitored effectively, confirming adherence to prescribed regimens.
  • Provide regular training sessions for specialists on relevant topics and organizational policies.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of community standards and regulations applicable to service providers.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on operational functions during meetings.
  • Enhance team collaboration and staff development through educational initiatives and support.
  • Facilitate attendance at medical appointments and ensure adherence to physician recommendations.
  • Report any concerns or issues to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
  • Maintain an updated list of legal guardians and their contact details.
  • Ensure thorough review of documentation by specialists in the management system.
  • Assist in recruitment, evaluation, and policy enforcement in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.
  • Provide administrative assistance to residential staff as needed.
  • Participate in provider meetings and disseminate relevant information to the team.
  • Safeguard the rights of individuals and maintain confidentiality of personal information.
  • Initiate and manage appeals processes in coordination with the Residential Director.
  • Engage in communication with individuals, families, and coordinators through various channels.
  • Oversee caseload distribution among specialists and conduct regular site visits for quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with supervisory staff to conduct departmental meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the residential team.
  • Authorize incentive time for residential staff as appropriate.
  • Supervise all personnel within the residential department and complete necessary documentation.
  • Manage overtime and participate in related committee meetings.
  • Respond promptly to communication and maintain ongoing engagement with staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred: A four-year degree, an associate's degree with three years of relevant experience, or five to seven years of professional experience in the field.
