Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead a small team of globally dispersed HR Business Partners to successfully deliver goals established in support of human resources initiatives.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Business Partnership and Advisory
    • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide strategic and operational human capital guidance.
    • Provide guidance and coaching on people-related topics such as talent management, performance management, career development, employee engagement, change management, succession planning, and organization design.
  • Employee Relations and Compliance
    • Ensure employees follow policies and procedures.
    • Manage and resolve employee relations issues.
    • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Global HR Expertise
    • Maintain working knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees both domestically and internationally.
    • Partner with the legal department as needed to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Strategic Planning and Innovation
    • Proactively identify opportunities to utilize people trends to identify gaps and positively collaborate and influence with the HR Centers of Excellence to drive people strategies, programs, and policies that solve customer needs and commercial success.
    • Drive a high-performance culture in support of the overall Intelsat vision and contribute to the development of the HR strategy and objectives.
  • Advocacy and Coaching
    • Serve as an advocate and coach for building diverse and inclusive teams.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 10 years of recent, relevant experience in Human Resources that includes at least 3 years' experience managing a team of HR Business Partners.
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree.
  • Skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
    • Ability to adapt to software changes.
    • Knowledge and first-hand experience of the global HR domain, including compensation practices, organizational diagnostics, employee relations, employment law, performance management, talent and succession planning, learning and development.
    • Experience supporting globally dispersed leaders with the interpersonal skills to effectively interact with people of various cultural backgrounds.
    • Excellent planning, project management, coordination, and analysis capabilities with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Exercises sound and efficient judgment when managing complex decisions and utilizes data and systems to drive decision making.
    • Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
    • An effective communicator, both written and verbal, with a clear, simple, situational, multi-level, and multi-cultural approach.
