Adecco US, Inc. is currently looking for a Financial Grants Specialist to join a prominent educational institution in New Brunswick. This role is designed as a temporary to permanent opportunity. Below are the details of the position.

Position Overview:

Title: Financial Grants Specialist

Compensation: $35/hr - $50/hr (based on qualifications)

Assignment Duration: 6-12 months, with potential for permanent placement.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model, requiring three days onsite in New Brunswick.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in managing grant-related tasks, ensuring proper tracking of funding and expenses.
  2. Conduct monthly reconciliation processes for all sponsored initiatives, including financial balance assessments and forecasts.
  3. Support the adjustment of grant budgets to accommodate fiscal changes throughout the grant lifecycle.
  4. Perform project evaluations, variance assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
  5. Facilitate necessary updates in the Oracle Finance System.
  6. Oversee account closures.
  7. Maintain updates in Smartsheet.
  8. Prepare journal entries.
  9. Complete necessary documentation.
  10. Generate finance approval reports.
  11. Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses.
  12. Produce reports utilizing Oracle and Peoplesoft systems.

Essential Qualifications:

A degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Experience with grants is essential, with a preference for candidates with pre or post-award experience.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and Word. Familiarity with Smartsheet, Oracle, and/or Marketplace is advantageous.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy.

Compensation Package: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour
