The Sales Territory Representative (STR) is tasked with managing any available routes during the absence of the Territory Sales Manager (TSM), whether due to vacation, illness, personal leave, or other circumstances.

The STR delivers exceptional Direct Store Delivery (DSD) service across various customer channels.

The STR identifies and capitalizes on sales opportunities, implements secondary placements, secures additional displays, utilizes Point of Sale (POS) systems, and conducts impactful sales presentations through the analysis of sales data.

The STR fosters customer relationships, adheres to standardized operational practices, meets performance standards, complies with safety protocols, and contributes to a collaborative team environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Drive revenue enhancement within the designated sales territory by optimizing Direct Store Delivery strategies to increase brand/product revenue, market presence, and profitability.


Recognize and pursue sales opportunities, react to competitive actions, maintain or expand shelf space, implement secondary placements, secure additional displays, leverage POS systems, and deliver compelling sales presentations using sales data effectively.


Establish rapport with relevant personnel in all accounts, engage with staff during service visits, address customer inquiries, and nurture relationships with clients to support sales initiatives, ensuring key store managers are familiar with your name.

Follow established best practices relevant to the role.


Adhere to the scheduled routes, accurately order authorized products, manage inventory levels, align stores with schematics, handle out-of-stock situations, communicate service-related matters to customers or management, execute promotional displays, utilize appropriate labor, maintain company equipment, and manage documentation efficiently.

Conduct activities safely, comply with corporate safety guidelines, and proactively address any observed unsafe conditions.


Complete necessary paperwork and actively engage in one-on-one meetings, taking ownership of discussions; incorporate identified opportunities, respond to coaching, and contribute to team meetings.


Adapt positively to change, offer suggestions for improvements to enhance effectiveness, support new initiatives, and maintain an open mindset.


Communicate directly with team members regarding issues, share ideas openly, encourage performance in others, provide constructive feedback, and train new employees when applicable.

Work Environment:

Location:
Work is primarily conducted indoors (80%) and outdoors (20%) while traveling between customer locations using a personal vehicle.

Physical Requirements:

Physical Demands:
Involves considerable time spent sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and driving between customer locations.

Must be capable of lifting between 25 to 50 pounds with or without assistance.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Valid Texas Driver's License with a minimum of 5 years driving experience and a clean driving record.

Successful completion of post-offer background check, MVR, drug screening, physical examination, and physical abilities test.

Dependable vehicle with valid insurance required.

Experience in the DSD (Direct Store Delivery)/Consumer Packaged Goods sector is strongly preferred.

Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.

Proven problem-solving abilities.

Effective time and territory management skills.

Willingness to work early morning/late night hours, as well as over 40 hours, weekends, and holidays when required.

Basic math and computer skills, including proficiency in using an iPad for order entry.

Commitment to safety practices.

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English in relation to job responsibilities and safety regulations.

Adherence to Company Dress Code (No visible tattoos on face, neck, or hands; no body piercings).
