JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary/Objective:

The Executive and Human Resources (HR) Assistant provides secretarial and administrative support services to the Board of Governors, General Manager, and Human Resources. They will assist the Director of Human Resources in administration, benefits, recruiting, payroll, worker's compensation, employee data collection, processing and analysis.

Essential Functions:
  • Supports GM in all board initiatives taking minutes at meetings when requested
  • Compiles and distributes Board/Committee documents and agendas as requested
  • Coordinates Club communications and assists the Club Secretary in their duties
  • Interacts with Club's Board, Committees and Staff
  • Provides general administrative support; prepares correspondence, memos and forms; translates as necessary; processes confidential documents and tracks deadlines for GM, HR and Club Secretary
  • Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions
  • Assists the Director of HR with selected recruitment and selection activities
  • Helps administer benefits and assists employees with benefit enrollment and changes as needed
  • Oversees all HR matters in the absence of the Director of HR

Education and Experience:
  • Two or more years of secretarial, administrative and/or Human Resource experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills needed
  • Experience with committees in a Club or similar organization preferred
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft are needed (i.e., MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
