Position Overview:

Our client, a prominent organization dedicated to sustainable development, is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to lead their HR initiatives at the enterprise level.

The VP of HR will be tasked with crafting and executing comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. This executive role is pivotal in fostering a cohesive culture, supporting various divisions, and enhancing the overall employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive HR transformation projects, focusing on the integration of advanced HR technologies and the development of a Human Capital Management system to optimize HR processes and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee specialized HR functions that prioritize service delivery and continuously assess and cultivate a culture of exceptional talent management.
  • Formulate enterprise-wide policies that promote strategic goals, boost employee engagement, and enrich organizational culture.
  • Navigating the complexities of employment laws and regulations to mitigate legal risks and uphold a culture of compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state employment regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements.
  • Play a vital role in aligning HR resources during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Support Board of Directors in HR-related matters, including compensation and succession planning.
  • Manage HR services across all divisions effectively.
  • Develop the annual HR strategy and budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with programmatic and financial objectives.
  • Build strategic partnerships with stakeholders to influence policies that drive organizational growth.
  • Act as a thought leader in international HR development, sharing best practices and fostering knowledge exchange.
  • Encourage staff development and performance, ensuring effective management and leadership practices.
  • Establish a collaborative workplace culture that recognizes and rewards contributions while enhancing synergies across divisions.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.

Experience & Skills:

  • At least 15 years of experience in HR leadership, with a focus on strategic HR functions.
  • Proven success in leading HR transformation and process optimization through technology.
  • Experience with Human Capital Management systems.
  • Knowledge of Employee Stock Ownership Programs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and international HR practices is advantageous.
  • Ability to address complex managerial and operational challenges effectively.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage complex activities and budgets effectively.
  • High emotional intelligence, emphasizing empathy and compassion.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Compensation:

The base salary for this position ranges from $210,000 to $230,000, depending on experience. Additionally, the role includes eligibility for a Short-Term Incentive Program of up to 15%.
