Role Summary:
The Arc of the United States is in search of a seasoned Human Resources Executive to spearhead, coordinate, and execute daily HR initiatives essential for aligning with The Arc's strategic objectives. This role will collaborate closely with the CEO and COO to establish and implement the HR strategy, focusing on employee engagement, retention, performance management, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, compliance, and HR infrastructure. The Executive will partner with leadership, managers, and employees across all levels to deliver proactive HR solutions while cultivating a culture of trust and commitment. A strong emphasis on customer service will be paramount, ensuring effective employment practices, orientation, and benefits management.
This position is newly established and offers a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute strategies that resonate with The Arc's mission and culture, enhancing the employee experience.
- Regularly evaluate and refine HR policies and practices to meet business needs.
- Design and implement robust onboarding, development, and retention strategies.
- Oversee performance management programs, providing guidance to managers on performance-related matters.
- Conduct HR data analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Lead the strategy and management of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with best practices.
- Address employee relations matters, conducting investigations and resolving conflicts to foster an inclusive workplace culture.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Administer comprehensive employee onboarding and benefits programs, including managing open enrollment and maintaining strong relationships with benefits providers.
- Maintain the HR section of HRM systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of employee data.
- Identify, engage, and recruit top talent, positioning The Arc as a preferred employer.
- Act as a resource for employees regarding HR inquiries, benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Provide mentorship and training to the Payroll and Benefits Administrator.
- Allocate 10% of time to support essential office functions, including managing software, staff technology allocations, and organizing meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
- At least three years of senior-level HR experience.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing effective HR programs.
- Experience in performance management, change management, and leadership development.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, policies, and employment law.
- High emotional intelligence with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying HR concepts.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and committed to excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in building partnerships with leaders and influencing without authority.
- Willingness to work in-office three days a week.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a full-time, at-will position with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. The salary range is $90,000 - $120,000. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including health and dental insurance, retirement contributions, accrued leave, and more.
